Packing

(1) Bandage and Paperboard: Generally applies to neat steel plate;
(2) Screw Locking Method: Use 4 screw rods through the aperture of the steel grid, for high strength;
(3) Steel Pallet: Traditional export packing.

Application description:

Widely used for industrial walkways, platforms, stair treads, catwalks, drainage covers, mezzanine floors, trench covers, and safety barriers. Also suitable for chemical plants, power stations, refineries, water treatment facilities, marine environments, and commercial buildings (ramps, ventilation grilles). The open design allows light, air, and liquid passage while providing high load capacity and slip resistance (serrated options). Hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel versions ensure long-term corrosion protection.

Production description

Bearing bars (flat, I, or serrated) and cross bars are assembled at right angles and resistance welded at each intersection. The welded grid is trimmed to panel size, edges are banded (optional), and the grating is surface treated (hot-dip galvanized, painted, or left black). Finished panels are inspected for weld strength and flatness.

Shipping Packaging

For export, steel grating panels are stacked flat with wooden separators, bundled with steel straps, fitted with edge protectors, and packed on ISPM-15 pallets or in steel crates. Labels include bearing bar size, spacing, panel dimensions, and quantity for safe sea freight.

Why Choose Us?

1.Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with automatic resistance welding lines, shearing and banding equipment, and in-line hot-dip galvanizing facility, ensuring consistent weld strength, precise bar spacing (±1mm), and uniform coating thickness for bearing bar sizes 20×3–100×8mm.

2.Quality Assurance:Strict control of bearing bar tensile strength, weld shear strength, flatness (≤3mm/m), and coating adhesion; 100% visual and dimensional inspection; compliant with ASTM A1018, EN 10025, GB/T 700.

3.Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and salt spray/coating thickness test reports available upon request.

4.Customization & Service:Wide range of materials (carbon steel Q235B–Q355B, stainless steel 304/316L), bar types (flat, I, serrated), bar spacing (30/40/60mm bearing, 50/100mm cross), panel sizes (up to 1.2m×6m), surface finishes (black, hot-dip galvanized, painted), and edge banding with fast lead times.

5.Export Packaging:Flat stacking with wooden separators + steel strapping + edge protectors + ISPM-15 pallets/steel crates + clear labeling for safe sea freight and damage-free delivery.

FAQ

1. How to store steel grating panels to prevent deformation and coating damage?

Store on level, dry ground on wooden sleepers or pallets, stack flat with wooden separators between layers to prevent sagging. Avoid dropping or dragging panels to protect welded joints and galvanized coating. For long-term storage, keep under cover. Minor coating damage can be repaired with zinc-rich paint.

2. How to choose between plain flat bar and serrated (anti-slip) steel grating?

Plain flat bar grating offers good slip resistance for dry, clean environments like industrial platforms and walkways. Serrated grating has a toothed surface providing superior traction in wet, oily, or greasy conditions, ideal for outdoor ramps, stair treads, and slippery areas. Serrated also allows better drainage and debris shedding.

3. What is the recommended bearing bar spacing for different load requirements?

Standard bearing bar spacing is 30mm (heavy duty), 40mm (medium duty), and 60mm (light duty). For pedestrian walkways and light loads, 60mm is sufficient. For vehicle access or heavy industrial equipment, use 30mm or 40mm spacing with deeper bearing bars (e.g., 50×5mm or larger). Consult load tables based on span and expected load.
