Produced by slitting hot-dip galvanized steel coil into narrow widths. Features uniform zinc coating, excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and clean edges. Available base grades: DX51D, DX52D, DX53D, S220GD, S250GD, S350GD, S550GD, SGCC, SGCH. Coating types: pure zinc (Z) or Galfan (ZA). Coating weight: Z40 – Z275 (g/m²). Thickness range: 0.2mm – 3.0mm. Width range: 5mm – 600mm (slit from master coil). Surface finishes: regular spangle, minimum spangle, zero spangle, or matt. Additional treatments: chromated, chromate-free, oiled/un-oiled, or anti-fingerprint. Edge condition: slit edge (deburred), round edge, or square edge. Coil ID: 300mm, 500mm, or 508mm. Application description:

Widely used in automotive components (hose clamps, brackets, seat frames), electrical cable trays, metal strapping, grounding tape, flexible ducts, fencing wire, and roll-formed profiles. The narrow width and uniform zinc coating make it ideal for stamping, roll forming, and bending. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use where corrosion resistance is required.

Production description

The process begins with hot-dip galvanized steel coil as the raw material. The coil is first inspected for coating uniformity and surface quality. It is then fed into a precision slitting line, where rotary knives cut the wide master coil into narrow strips of required width (5mm–600mm). Slitting parameters are controlled to produce clean, burr-free edges (slit, round, or square as specified). The strips are then tensioned and rewound into coils with specified inner diameter (300mm, 500mm, or 508mm) and weight. Optional edge deburring or rounding is applied for special applications. Finished strips are inspected for width tolerance, edge condition, coating integrity, and mechanical properties. Finally, they are packed for shipment. No additional galvanizing or coating is performed at this stage.

Shipping Packaging

For export, galvanized steel strips are wound on plastic or steel reels, wrapped with VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, packed in wooden crates or on ISPM-15 pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors. Labels include grade, coating weight, dimensions, coil weight, and heat number for safe sea freight.
