Application |
It is widely used in construction, machinery manufacturing, bridges, ships, road engineering and other fields. |
Application description
Widely used in building frames, structural supports, roof purlins, bridge bracing, industrial platforms, machinery frames, vehicle chassis, trailer frames, shelving systems, and cable trays. Also suitable for agricultural equipment, garage doors, and reinforcement of concrete structures. The C-shaped profile provides excellent bending strength and easy bolted or welded connections for construction and general fabrication.

Production description
Carbon steel billet is heated to 1150–1250°C, then hot rolled through roughing and finishing mills to form the C-shaped cross-section. The channel is straightened, cut to length, and inspected for web/flange dimensions and corner radius. Surface finish as-rolled (black) or pickled & oiled.

Shipping Packaging
For export, steel channels are bundled with interleaved separators, secured with steel straps, fitted with edge protectors, and packed on ISPM-15 pallets or steel frames. Labels include grade, size, length, quantity, and heat number for safe sea freight.
Why Choose Us?
1.Factory Strength:Direct manufacturer with hot rolling mills, straightening lines, and cutting equipment, ensuring consistent C-shaped dimensions, uniform flange width, and stable mechanical properties for sizes 5#–40#.
2.Quality Assurance:Strict control of web/flange thickness, corner radius, and straightness (≤0.2% of length); 100% dimensional inspection; compliant with ASTM A36, EN 10025-2, JIS G3192, GB/T 706.
3.Certifications & Reports:Mill test certificates (MTC) with each shipment; third-party inspections (SGS, BV) and mechanical property reports (yield, tensile, elongation) available upon request.
4.Customization & Service:Wide grade range (Q195–Q355, S235JR–S355JR, SS400, A36, A572), sizes 50×25–400×104mm, custom lengths (6–12m or longer), surface finishes (black, pickled, galvanized), and punching/drilling with fast lead times.
5.Export Packaging:Interleaved separators + steel strapping + edge protectors + ISPM-15 pallets/steel frames + clear labeling for safe sea freight and damage-free delivery.
FAQ
1. How to store steel channels to prevent bending and corrosion?
Store on level, dry ground on wooden sleepers or steel racks, keep bundles elevated. Stack with separators between layers to prevent sagging. For long-term storage, apply rust preventive oil and keep under cover. Surface rust is common and can be removed by wire brushing before use. Do not stack heavy loads on channels to maintain straightness.
2. Can steel channels be welded or bolted easily?
Yes. Steel channels are designed for easy connection. Welding (MIG, arc, TIG) is straightforward using standard procedures for carbon steel. Bolting is also simple – drill or punch holes in the web or flanges as required. Always clean welding area from scale or coating. For galvanized channels, remove zinc coating near weld zone or use ventilation to avoid fumes.
3. What is the difference between standard and light-duty steel channels?
Standard channels (e.g., GB/T 706 or EN 10279) have thicker webs and flanges, higher load capacity, suitable for structural frames, heavy machinery, and building supports. Light-duty channels (e.g., UPE or custom thinner sections) are used for lighter loads such as shelving, cable trays, and decorative trims. Select based on required bending strength and weight constraints.
