Produced by piercing a solid billet and cold drawing or hot rolling without any weld seam. Features uniform structure, high pressure resistance, excellent dimensional accuracy, and good mechanical properties. Available materials: carbon steel (20#, Q345, Q355, 10#, ST37, ST44, ST52) and alloy steel (15CrMo, 12Cr1MoV, 4130, 4140). Outer diameter: 6mm – 711mm (cold drawn: 6–168mm; hot rolled: 168–711mm). Wall thickness: 1.0mm – 50mm. Length: 3m – 12m or custom. Surface finish: black (as-rolled), pickled & oiled, or bright annealed. End finish: plain, beveled, or threaded. Manufacturing: hot rolled or cold drawn with intermediate annealing for precise tolerances. Strict control of OD, wall thickness, and straightness. Meets ASTM A106/A53, API 5L, EN 10216, JIS G3454/G3455, or GB/T 8162/8163 standards.

Factory workshop

Solid billet is heated, pierced into a hollow shell, then hot rolled or cold drawn to precise size. Intermediate annealing and pickling applied. Pipe is straightened, cut, inspected, and end-finished. No weld seam.

Shipping Packaging

For export, seamless steel pipes are bundled with plastic end caps, wrapped in VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, packed in wooden crates or on ISPM-15 pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors. Labels include grade, dimensions, length, and heat number.

FAQ

1.How to store seamless pipes to prevent rust?

Store on dry, elevated racks under cover, keep original end caps and wrapping. For pickled & oiled pipes, avoid moisture. Surface rust on black pipes can be removed by sandblasting or pickling.

2.Can seamless pipes be bent or threaded?

Yes. Use mandrel bending for tight radii. For threading, choose suitable wall thickness (Sch 40 or heavier) and use sharp dies with cutting oil to avoid damage.

3.Seamless vs welded – which is stronger?

Seamless pipes have no weld seam, offering higher pressure resistance and uniform structure, ideal for high-temperature and high-pressure applications. Welded pipes are more cost-effective for general use.
